Alliance UniChem's Norway Retail Business Goes Live in Under Five Months with Manhattan Associates' Replenishment Solution
Norway Implementation Follows Successful Deployment across UK and is Part of European-wide Implementation to Streamline Replenishment Process
LONDON and ATLANTA - October 5, 2005 - Leading supply chain solutions provider, Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH), announced that Alliance UniChem, a leading European healthcare group, has gone live in Norway in less than five months with Manhattan Associates' Replenishment solution for its retail business, Alliance Apotek. The announcement follows the successful implementation of Manhattan Associates' Replenishment solution across Alliance UniChem's UK wholesale network. The roll-out is part of Alliance UniChem's planned deployment of Replenishment to streamline its replenishment process throughout its European operations.
Manhattan Associates recently completed the acquisition of Evant, Inc., a provider of supply chain planning and replenishment solutions. Manhattan Associates is the leader in the pharmaceutical market in the U.S., with four of the top five pharmaceutical distributors currently using its supply chain solutions. The Manhattan Associates Replenishment solution is designed to manage slow-moving items, highly seasonal demand patterns and the variety of branded and generic products in the pharmaceutical market. It features a Web services-based architecture and is able to integrate seamlessly with Alliance UniChem's existing corporate information system.

Alliance UniChem operates in 12 countries including the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Egypt, Portugal, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Turkey. The company licensed Manhattan Associates' Replenishment solution to be used in the majority of these countries both for wholesale and retail replenishment.
